If you’ve ever wanted to proclaim the Word of God, then signing up to be a reader at Mass is one way to do just that.

Lectors:

• Are needed for the first and second readings from Scripture at all weekend and Holy Day Masses.
• Must attend a seminar led by Deacon Jim Lawson to learn more about their new role. The session lasts about an hour and a half and includes prayer, theological information and a practicum. The seminars are typically offered twice a year.

When will I be needed?

• Readers are scheduled for the Mass they usually attend.
• Two-to-three-month schedules are available for pick-up in the foyer of the Church or check our link to print one now.
