Ladies of Charity

If you’re a woman interested in serving those in need in your community, then consider joining or supporting the Ladies of Charity.

The Knoxville Ladies of Charity:

  • Serves the needy by managing a Thrift Shop and Emergency Assistance Center that handles emergency assistance requests for food, clothing, housing, utilities and medical needs.
  • Helps bag food, accept and sort through donated items and answer the phones in the shop and office.
  • Meets at 10 am on the second Friday of every month at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 1041 N. Central St. The women attend Mass and then a program together.

Where is the Thrift Shop?

We have moved! Our new address is 10 W. Baxter Avenue and the new phone number is 865.247.5790. The hours for the Thrift Shop are Monday-Saturday from 9:30am-4:30pm, and the Emergency Assistance Center is open Monday-Friday from 9:30am-1:30pm.

The Ladies of Charity are currently asking for donations of personal hygiene products to pieces of furniture. With the increase amount of space, we are also seeking volunteers. We would also like to thank everyone who has voluntered with the new facility; we are truly blessed and would not have made it withought your assistance. For questions, or to volunteer, please contact Debbie at 599-0088, Pat at 690-7316, or Roy at 300-2818.
