Dear Cathedral Parish Family,
I write to share both joyful and bittersweet news regarding a member of our Cathedral staff. Our Director of Evangelization, Youth, and Young Adult Ministry, Mr. Rick Grinstead, has accepted a new position as the
National Associate Director for Alpha Catholic.
Since joining our Cathedral Parish family in 2020, Rick has generously shared his gifts, his love for the Lord, and his deep commitment to helping others encounter Christ. His leadership in evangelization, as well as his care for our youth and young adults, has left a lasting impact on our parish community.
While we will deeply miss Rick’s daily presence and ministry here at the Cathedral, we are very proud of him and celebrate with him as he takes on this exciting new opportunity in his career. We are also grateful to his family for their support and sacrifice that allowed him to serve our parish so well during these years.
Please join me in praying for Rick and his family as they begin this new chapter. May God continue to bless his ministry abundantly and use his talents to draw many more people closer to Jesus Christ.

Dear Cathedral Family,
It has been the greatest joy and privilege to serve as your Director of Evangelization, Youth, and Young Adult Ministry for the past five and a half years. Together, we have prayed, learned, laughed, and grown closer to
Christ—and I am so grateful for every moment. Thank you to all of you, our parishioners, our incredible staff, and especially to our Pastor, Father David for your unwavering support, encouragement, and friendship along the way.
With both gratitude and excitement, I want to share that I have accepted a new role as the National Associate Director for Alpha Youth Catholic. Alpha exists to serve the Church in helping people discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus, and in this new role, I will help Catholic parishes, dioceses, and schools across the country reach the next generation through Alpha Youth. The mission is bold and I feel humbled to be part of such a movement of evangelization and renewal in the Church.
While I will deeply miss daily life at the Cathedral, I carry with me the love, prayers, and support of this parish family as I step into this new chapter. Please continue to pray for me in this mission, just as I will continue to pray for you.
