Diocese of Knoxville Press Release: Catholic Charities of East Tennessee (CCETN) is providing relief for the current emergency conditions in East Tennessee counties related to Hurricane Helene. Once damage assessments in the affected areas are completed, CCETN is ready to assist with the immediate needs of emergency housing, food, water, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies. Afterward, CCETN’s disaster Case Management program will open for long-term needs.
CCETN is working with the local Emergency Management Services of affected areas to distribute these resources to those in
need.
Those in need of assistance are encouraged to call CCETN at 865-684-1899. Additionally, people may go to their local Catholic church and ask to be put in touch with CCETN resources.
Catholic Charities of East Tennessee, a Diocese of Knoxville ministry, provides assistance in emergencies through its operations network and is ready to work with individuals and communities in need.
Those who would like to support the relief efforts can donate to CCETN’s Disaster Relief Fund at ccetn.org/donate and select Disaster Relief Fund in the designation drop-down.
