This year, don’t get so caught up in the “busyness” of the holiday that we forget to slow down, to look one another in the eye, and tell our loved ones how much they mean to us.

Put aside your work to spend an hour playing that board game with your son. He’ll be happy to unwrap his gift under the tree. But your undivided attention for an hour will be the far greater gift.

So slow down. Play with your family. Live the joy of Christmas. Tell people in your life you love them. And show it. And spend some time in prayer. Try reading Luke 2:8-14 before digging in to your Christmas feast, or with your family before unwrapping your gifts.

“Come, let us adore” the one who gave Himself to us!

But let’s follow his example too. Don’t just share presents and food this Christmas. Share yourself.

Merry Christmas!

P.S. Don’t forget to share what Christmas is all about: pass this video along. It might just help someone you know rediscover the real beauty, truth and power of the Gospel again.

The mighty God as a little baby?! That’s the most absurd claim of any Faith in history. Yet, if God is love, nothing else would do.
