The Cathedral Academy of Music is an initiative aimed at enhancing the quality, consistency, and engagement of liturgical worship across the Diocese of Knoxville. It offers professional training for directors, conductors, cantors, accompanists, choir members, and administrators, alongside specialized liturgical and musical resources.

In partnership with Sacred Heart Cathedral School, the Academy also provides a comprehensive music and performing arts education for K–8 students. Students benefit from mentorships, masterclasses, and performance opportunities with industry professionals.

With its dual focus on worship and education, the Cathedral Academy of Music strives to shape the next generation of faithful leaders, artists, and musicians committed to serving the Church and society with excellence and creativity. For more information on the academy, please email our Director of Music and Liturgy, Glenn Kahler, at [email protected].

THEATRE SUMMER CAMP

Participants in this week-long theatre camp will embark on an exciting journey of creativity, self-expression, and performance. Campers will develop confidence, teamwork, and storytelling skills in a supportive and encouraging environment through engaging workshops in acting, improvisation, dance, and stage presence. Daily activities will inspire imagination, enhance physical and vocal expression, and foster a love for the performing arts. With a focus on fun and fellowship, the camp ensures a safe space for learning, exploration, and personal growth, culminating in a final showcase where participants can shine on stage!

The Cathedral Academy of Music, in coordination with Sacred Heart Cathedral School, makes this enriching experience possible. It provides young performers with a nurturing and inspiring environment to discover and develop their talents. For more information on the academy, please contact our Director of Music and Liturgy, Glenn Kahler, at [email protected].
