Our parish is one of 14 selected Catholic parishes in the United States in the St. Meinrad Young Adult Initiative, which is a movement in the Church focused on giving young people a reason to remain active in the Catholic Church. Our parish is being challenged to engage young adults within and outside our congregation innovatively, and is receiving generous support from St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology and the Lilly Endowment, Inc., as we take up that challenge! If you’d like to know more about this dynamic movement in the Catholic Church:

Sunday Men’s Group: Meets Sundays at 3 p.m. in the Youth and Young Adult center. Contact Patrick Ward for more info.
Tuesday Women’s Group: Meets Tuesdays at 7 p.m. also on the Youth and Young Adult center. Contact Emily Booker for more info.
Large Group Events: These get posted on our Facebook and Instagram Pages found here: Facebook, Instagram @knoxcathedralyoungadults

The young adult community joins Sacred Heart’s weekly adoration/confession every second Wednesday of the month; afterward, they go out for dinner and fellowship.

If you are 18 to 35 and are interested in growing in your faith, check out our men’s and women’s young adult groups! These groups meet weekly for about an hour for fellowship, prayer, and study. The men’s group meets at 3 pm on Sundays, and the women’s group meets at 7 pm on Tuesday evenings.

Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you, all things are passing away:  God never changes.  Patience obtains all things, for whoever has God lacks nothing. God alone suffices ~ St. Teresa of Avila
